    I have three boys that attend/attended Western Academy! My now 10th grader graduated from Western Academy as a Valedictorian in 2017. The relationships he made at WACS with students and staff will stay with him forever. The STEAM program got him ready for high school and put him well ahead of his peers. I also have a 1st and 4th grader. Their teachers are amazing, great communication always. I love the project child system. It gives the kids three teachers each school year that they keep for three years! It really gives the teachers an opportunity to get to know the kids and advance in their learning. When they return to school in August there is no time wasted on getting to know each other. They jump right in and pick up where they left off. I feel clusters (team of three teachers) also give the kids and teachers a nice break in the day, you're not in the same class all day with the same teacher (or kids lol) which I really feel helps the teachers and the students stay fresh and enjoying the day. My husband and I are so thankful that we found Western Academy!

    Excellent school! So glad we found it! I have 3 kids in Western Academy, all since Kindergarten, with the oldest now starting 8th Grade and we love this school. The staff are very professional, motivated, and caring, and the kids thrive under their attention. The smaller size of the school allows for a feeling that everyone is looking out for everyone else, which couldn't be possible in some of the huge Public Schools around. Discipline is strict, but doesn't feel arbitrary and leads to a good learning environment. Having children with different levels of learning ability, I can observe that they accommodate and challenge appropriately according to the child, rather than being some giant mill churning them out. I appreciate the ease of communication with the teachers and staff. I can only hope we get so lucky in High School.

    Best school in the County! Our kids have been attending Western Academy since Kindergarten. The oldest is now in the 10th grade and thriving while his brother is in 8th and we fully expect him to do just as well at the next level. When they started we couldn't have imagined how great an experience it would turn out to be. Family oriented atmosphere & program. EVERYBODY cares! That's impossible to find nowadays. This is truly a special place.

    Amazing school! This is our 10th year in this school and there has never been any problems. Amazing staff that truly cares and encourages every student. As a mother to a special needs child with an extensive IEP I know he is getting the help that he needs. Everyone from the front desk down is caring and knows every child’s name. If I have a concern about anything they take the time to speak to me and address what it is. I found this school by accident and it was the best decision I made. I love them all!

    Great learning environment for your kids, teachers who go the extra mile for their students Our son enrolled in Kindergarten nearly 9 years ago (he's in 7th grade now) and we couldn't have asked for a better learning environment. The teachers and course push the kids a bit, but just enough to help them want to learn more. It is a very structured environment and there are rules and a dress code and there are consequences for your actions here, just like in real life, and I think kids thrive in this type of environment. I know my son does without a doubt. The Principal, and all the faculty, are actively involved in every aspect of the school and everyone here actually listens to your concerns as a parent. My son loves the school and has made friends he will keep for the rest of his life and has learned lessons he will take on to high school and beyond. The STEAM curriculum is very impressive and seeing my son take courses, for example, in JavaScript in 6th grade blew me away. I am a Web Engineer and what they were learning was some of the fundamental concepts I use every day. Wow. Love this school!

    Great School for K-8! Western Academy is a great school!! Our child has been there since Kindergarten and is now in 6th Grade and we have been very happy. The teachers have been and are terrific!!! They really help the kids be prepared for the state test and they ensure they understand what they are learning. The teachers and office administration also ensure many “fun” events and activities are planned throughout the year (during and after school hours) which makes the kids look forward to going to school. The school stresses parent-involvement, which we feel is a KEY to our child’s education. The teachers are open and welcome communication with their students and parents. We would HIGHLY recommend this school for all grades.

    Western Academy does an excellent job in academics as well as keeping kids safe and well behaved . Communication related to any issues or concerns, is a top priority. I have 2 kids, one graduated from Western Academy and the other currently attends the school. I've had an excellent experience with school and their staff. Thank you!!!

    Mrs. Terranova is an excellent leader and principal. I believe in her leadership and proud my daughter attends this school. I always tell other parents that Western is a wonderful school. Mrs. Terranova keep up your wonderful work and leadership. We look forward to sending our next child to be guided by your leadership.

    Wonderful school. The staff is very professional. The children are taught effectively. Discipline is maintained throughout the elementary and middle school. A great alternative to our failing public school system.
